Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Whittlesea in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (11,410 females or 22.7%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (10,838 females or 21.6%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (9,811 females or 19.6%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 32,059 females in total or 63.9% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Greater Melbourne employed 30.4% in Professionals; 19.1% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 15.4% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the City of Whittlesea and Greater Melbourne were:
