Analysis of the qualifications of the female population in the City of Whittlesea in 2021 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a lower proportion of females holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a higher proportion of females with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 50.4% of the female population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 42.4% had no qualifications, compared with 56.8% and 35.8% respectively for Greater Melbourne.
The major differences between qualifications held by the female population of the City of Whittlesea and Greater Melbourne were:
