There were more female professionals in Outer Eastern region in 2021 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Outer Eastern region in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (206 females or 22.0%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (197 females or 21.0%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (169 females or 18.0%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 572 females in total or 61.0% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, the Shire of Mundaring employed 25.5% in Professionals; 21.3% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 17.3% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Outer Eastern region and the Shire of Mundaring were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (7.5% compared to 5.9%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed as Managers (11.1% compared to 9.9%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed as Professionals (22.0% compared to 25.5%)

The number of employed females in Outer Eastern region increased by 69 between 2016 and 2021.
