Dominant groups

Analysis of male individual income levels in the Shire of Mundaring in 2021 compared to Helena Valley - Boya shows that there was a lower proportion of males earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a similar proportion of low income males (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 20.6% of the male population earned a high income, and 22.6% earned a low income, compared with 27.2% and 22.4% respectively for Helena Valley - Boya.

The major differences between the Shire of Mundaring's male individual incomes and Helena Valley - Boya's male individual incomes were:

  • A smaller percentage of males who earned $2,000 - $2,999 (11.8% compared to 16.2%)
  • A smaller percentage of males who earned $3,500 or more (5.2% compared to 6.7%)
