Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Swan View in 2021 compared to the Shire of Mundaring shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 23.7% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 12.3% were one-parent families, compared with 33.1% and 9.8% respectively for the Shire of Mundaring.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children.
