Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in East Bendigo in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (186 people or 18.4%)
  • Retail Trade (108 people or 10.7%)
  • Manufacturing (87 people or 8.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 381 people in total or 37.7% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Greater Bendigo employed 19.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.8% in Retail Trade; and 8.4% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of East Bendigo and the City of Greater Bendigo were:
