Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Heathcote and District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (213 people or 13.6%)
  • Manufacturing (151 people or 9.7%)
  • Construction (148 people or 9.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 512 people in total or 32.8% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Greater Bendigo employed 19.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.4% in Manufacturing; and 9.5% in Construction.
