Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Huntly in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (316 people or 18.1%)
  • Construction (225 people or 12.9%)
  • Retail Trade (186 people or 10.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 727 people in total or 41.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Greater Bendigo employed 19.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.5% in Construction; and 9.8% in Retail Trade.
