Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Tamworth Urban Area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (4,052 people or 18.2%)
  • Retail Trade (2,322 people or 10.4%)
  • Education and Training (2,173 people or 9.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 8,547 people in total or 38.3% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Nundle - Rural South employed 11.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 7.4% in Retail Trade; and 10.1% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Tamworth Urban Area and Nundle - Rural South were:
