Dominant groups
In 2021, there were 86 people who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in Tamworth Urban Area, compared with 15,836 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).
Analysis of the method of travel to work of the residents in Tamworth Urban Area in 2021, compared to Nundle - Rural South, shows that 0.4% used public transport, while 69.1% used a private vehicle, compared with 0.6% and 55.1% respectively in Nundle - Rural South.
The major differences in persons between the method of travel to work of Tamworth Urban Area and Nundle - Rural South were:
- A larger percentage of persons who travelled by car (as driver) (63.1% compared to 53.2%)
- A larger percentage of persons who travelled by car (as a passenger) (6.0% compared to 1.9%)
