Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Port Kennedy in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (805 people or 12.9%)
  • Retail Trade (708 people or 11.3%)
  • Construction (632 people or 10.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,145 people in total or 34.3% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Rockingham employed 12.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.6% in Retail Trade; and 10.3% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Port Kennedy and the City of Rockingham were:
