Dominant groups
Analysis of the five year age groups for low income households in the City of Rockingham in 2021 compared to Greater Perth, shows that there was a similar proportion of people in low income households in the younger age groups (under 15) and a lower proportion in the older age groups (65+).
Overall, 22.3% of people in low income households were aged between 0 and 15, and 35.8% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 18.5% and 37.9% respectively for Greater Perth.
The major differences between the five year age groups of low income households in the City of Rockingham and Greater Perth were:
