Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the non-English speaking resident population in City of Rockingham in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Community and Personal Service Workers (1,005 people or 17.4%)
- Professionals (998 people or 17.3%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (963 people or 16.7%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 2,966 people in total or 51.4% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, the total population in the City of Rockingham employed 14.5% in Community and Personal Service Workers; 14.3% in Professionals; and 19.4% in Technicians and Trades Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the non-English speaking population of the City of Rockingham and the total population in the City of Rockingham were:
- A larger percentage of people employed as Labourers (14.3% compared to 10.7%)
- A larger percentage of people employed as Professionals (17.3% compared to 14.3%)
