Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Victoria Point in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Technicians and Trades Workers (1,109 people or 16.5%)
- Professionals (1,092 people or 16.2%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (1,057 people or 15.7%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 3,258 people in total or 48.3% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Redland City employed 15.6% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 18.4% in Professionals; and 15.1% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Victoria Point and Redland City were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (12.7% compared to 11.7%)
- A larger percentage of persons employed as Labourers (10.1% compared to 9.1%)
- A smaller percentage of persons employed as Professionals (16.2% compared to 18.4%)
