Dominant groups

Analysis of the female service age groups of Rosebud in 2021 compared to Tyabb shows that there was a lower proportion of females in the younger age groups (0 to 17 years) and a higher proportion of females in the older age groups (60+ years).

Overall, 17.1% of the female population was aged between 0 and 17, and 37.5% were aged 60 years and over, compared with 19.3% and 25.7% respectively for Tyabb.

The major differences between the female age structure of Rosebud and Tyabb were:

  • A larger percentage of 'Seniors' (18.3% compared to 9.6%)
  • A smaller percentage of 'Older workers & pre-retirees' (13.1% compared to 16.2%)
  • A smaller percentage of 'Young workforce' (9.7% compared to 12.7%)
