Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Mount Martha in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (1,356 females or 28.6%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (919 females or 19.4%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (799 females or 16.9%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 3,074 females in total or 64.9% of the employed female resident population.
In comparison, Dromana - Safety Beach employed 23.0% in Professionals; 20.7% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 17.9% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Mount Martha and Dromana - Safety Beach were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (28.6% compared to 23.0%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Sales Workers (11.9% compared to 13.7%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (3.9% compared to 5.2%)

The largest changes in the occupations of female residents between 2016 and 2021 in Mount Martha were for those employed as:
- Managers (+174 females)
