Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in HMAS Cerberus in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (380 males or 53.0%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (242 males or 33.8%)
  • Managers (40 males or 5.6%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 662 males in total or 92.3% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Baxter - Pearcedale employed 33.7% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 5.1% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 12.2% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of HMAS Cerberus and Baxter - Pearcedale were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (33.8% compared to 5.1%)
