Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Capel Sound in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (237 females or 29.1%)
  • Retail Trade (122 females or 15.0%)
  • Education and Training (88 females or 10.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 447 females in total or 54.9% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Portsea - Sorrento - Blairgowrie employed 14.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.8% in Retail Trade; and 11.5% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Capel Sound and Portsea - Sorrento - Blairgowrie were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (29.1% compared to 14.7%)
