Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Tyabb in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (271 males or 28.9%)
  • Manufacturing (96 males or 10.2%)
  • Retail Trade (88 males or 9.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 455 males in total or 48.6% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Mount Eliza employed 17.9% in Construction; 8.9% in Manufacturing; and 8.7% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Tyabb and Mount Eliza were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in construction (28.9% compared to 17.9%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in other services (5.8% compared to 2.4%)
