Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of Green Wedge in 2021 compared to Rosebud shows that there was a lower proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a higher proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 13.5% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 29.4% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 16.7% and 26.9% respectively for Rosebud.

The major differences between the male age structure of Green Wedge and Rosebud were:

  • A larger percentage of males aged 65 to 69 (9.6% compared to 7.0%)
  • A larger percentage of males aged 60 to 64 (9.4% compared to 6.9%)
  • A larger percentage of males aged 55 to 59 (8.7% compared to 6.2%)
