Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Notting Hill in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (270 males or 33.0%)
  • Labourers (97 males or 11.9%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (96 males or 11.8%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 463 males in total or 56.7% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Oakleigh East - Huntingdale employed 27.2% in Professionals; 9.4% in Labourers; and 16.2% in Technicians and Trades Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Notting Hill and Oakleigh East - Huntingdale were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Professionals (33.0% compared to 27.2%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed as Labourers (11.9% compared to 9.4%)
