Dominant groups
Analysis of the female five year age groups of Chadstone in 2021 compared to Notting Hill shows that there was a higher proportion of females in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a higher proportion of females in the older age groups (65+).
Overall, 15.9% of the female population was aged between 0 and 15, and 14.6% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 12.2% and 10.1% respectively for Notting Hill.
The major differences between the female age structure of Chadstone and Notting Hill were:
- A larger percentage of females aged 0 to 4 (6.4% compared to 3.8%)
- A larger percentage of females aged 40 to 44 (7.3% compared to 5.0%)
- A smaller percentage of females aged 20 to 24 (7.1% compared to 15.2%)

From 2001 to 2021, Chadstone's female population increased by 1,264 people (36.2%). This represents an average annual population change of 1.56% per year over the period.
The largest changes in female age structure in this area between 2001 and 2021 were in the age groups:

- 35 to 39 (+187 females)

- 25 to 29 (+117 females)
