Dominant groups
Analysis of the male five year age groups of Oakleigh in 2021 compared to Ashwood - Burwood shows that there was a lower proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a similar proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).
Overall, 15.4% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 14.1% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 18.8% and 14.5% respectively for Ashwood - Burwood.
