Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Mount Waverley in 2021 compared to Wheelers Hill shows that 92.8% of the households owned at least one car, while 4.2% did not, compared with 90.2% and 6.6% respectively in Wheelers Hill.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 34.6% of the households owned one car; 41.1% owned two cars; and 17.2% owned three cars or more, compared with 26.7%; 42.5% and 21.1% respectively for Wheelers Hill.
