Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Northern Yeppoon in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Education and Training (148 people or 13.6%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (145 people or 13.3%)
  • Mining (124 people or 11.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 417 people in total or 38.2% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Livingstone Shire Council area employed 10.9% in Education and Training; 13.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 9.8% in Mining.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Northern Yeppoon and Livingstone Shire Council area were:
