Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Coastal Hinterlands North in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

- Health Care and Social Assistance (243 people or 12.3%)
- Education and Training (215 people or 10.9%)

In comparison, Livingstone Shire Council area employed 10.5% in Construction; 13.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 10.9% in Education and Training.
