Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Coastal Hinterlands North in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (258 people or 13.0%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (243 people or 12.3%)
  • Education and Training (215 people or 10.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 716 people in total or 36.2% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Livingstone Shire Council area employed 10.5% in Construction; 13.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 10.9% in Education and Training.
