4,315 people living in Ocean Reef in 2021 were employed, of which 58% worked full-time and 37% part-time.

Dominant groups
The size of Ocean Reef's labour force in 2021 was 4,492, of which 1,594 were employed part-time and 2,494 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in Ocean Reef in 2021 compared to Craigie shows that there was a higher proportion in employment, and a lower proportion unemployed. Overall, 96.1% of the labour force was employed, and 3.9% unemployed, compared with 95.4% and 4.6% respectively for Craigie.
Analysis of the labour force participation rate of the population in Ocean Reef in 2021 shows that there was a lower proportion in the labour force (66.9%) compared with Craigie (70.4%).
