Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in City of Parramatta in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (43,035 people or 35.0%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (17,438 people or 14.2%)
  • Managers (16,818 people or 13.7%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 77,291 people in total or 62.8% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Western Sydney (LGA) employed 23.7% in Professionals; 14.9% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 12.2% in Managers.
