Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in North Sydney Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (8,980 males or 44.7%)
  • Managers (5,092 males or 25.4%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (1,518 males or 7.6%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 15,590 males in total or 77.6% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, Randwick City employed 33.3% in Professionals; 20.0% in Managers; and 15.1% in Technicians and Trades Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of North Sydney Council area and Randwick City were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Professionals (44.7% compared to 33.3%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed as Managers (25.4% compared to 20.0%)
