Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Western Sydney (LGA) in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (118,699 males or 20.5%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (109,741 males or 18.9%)
- Managers (82,851 males or 14.3%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 311,291 males in total or 53.7% of the employed male resident population.
In comparison, Randwick City employed 33.3% in Professionals; 15.1% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 20.0% in Managers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Western Sydney (LGA) and Randwick City were:
- A larger percentage of males employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (13.9% compared to 4.9%)
- A larger percentage of males employed as Labourers (10.4% compared to 6.3%)
- A smaller percentage of males employed as Professionals (20.5% compared to 33.3%)
