Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Mosman Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (1,339 females or 18.9%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (1,047 females or 14.8%)
- Financial and Insurance Services (848 females or 12.0%)
In combination, these three industries employed 3,234 females in total or 45.7% of the total employed female resident population.
In comparison, Western Sydney (LGA) employed 6.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 22.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 6.0% in Financial and Insurance Services.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Mosman Council area and Western Sydney (LGA) were:
- A larger percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (18.9% compared to 6.9%)
- A larger percentage of females employed in financial and insurance services (12.0% compared to 6.0%)
