Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Mosman Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (1,339 females or 18.9%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,047 females or 14.8%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services (848 females or 12.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,234 females in total or 45.7% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Western Sydney (LGA) employed 6.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 22.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 6.0% in Financial and Insurance Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Mosman Council area and Western Sydney (LGA) were:
