Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Northern Beaches Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (10,908 males or 15.7%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (10,571 males or 15.2%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services (5,792 males or 8.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 27,271 males in total or 39.2% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Western Sydney (LGA) employed 14.1% in Construction; 8.1% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 5.1% in Financial and Insurance Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Northern Beaches Council area and Western Sydney (LGA) were:
