Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Fairfield City in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Manufacturing (4,776 males or 14.0%)
  • Construction (4,550 males or 13.3%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (3,854 males or 11.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 13,180 males in total or 38.6% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Blacktown City employed 9.7% in Manufacturing; 11.1% in Construction; and 11.8% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Fairfield City and Blacktown City were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in manufacturing (14.0% compared to 9.7%)
