Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Hawkesbury City in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (4,477 males or 25.7%)
  • Manufacturing (1,688 males or 9.7%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (1,204 males or 6.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 7,369 males in total or 42.4% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Sutherland Shire employed 19.2% in Construction; 6.5% in Manufacturing; and 7.8% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Hawkesbury City and Sutherland Shire were:
