Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Hawkesbury City in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (5,450 people or 16.3%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (3,740 people or 11.2%)
  • Education and Training (3,083 people or 9.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 12,273 people in total or 36.8% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Blue Mountains City employed 8.7% in Construction; 16.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 15.1% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Hawkesbury City and Blue Mountains City were:
