Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Bayside Council area in 2021 compared to Northern Beaches Council area shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 28.8% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 9.6% were one-parent families, compared with 36.8% and 8.6% respectively for Northern Beaches Council area.
