Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of Sutherland Shire in 2021 compared to Western Sydney (LGA) shows that there was a lower proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a higher proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 19.5% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 17.5% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 21.4% and 12.6% respectively for Western Sydney (LGA).
