Dominant groups

Analysis of the car ownership of the households in the City of Canterbury Bankstown in 2021 compared to Willoughby City shows that 82.0% of the households owned at least one car, while 10.9% did not, compared with 83.1% and 13.7% respectively in Willoughby City.

Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.

Overall, 37.0% of the households owned one car; 29.4% owned two cars; and 15.6% owned three cars or more, compared with 46.4%; 27.9% and 8.9% respectively for Willoughby City.
