Dominant groups
Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Willoughby City in 2021 compared to Northern Beaches Council area shows that 83.1% of the households owned at least one car, while 13.7% did not, compared with 90.3% and 6.4% respectively in Northern Beaches Council area.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 46.4% of the households owned one car; 27.9% owned two cars; and 8.9% owned three cars or more, compared with 35.6%; 37.1% and 17.6% respectively for Northern Beaches Council area.
