Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Canning in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (6,373 people or 28.5%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (4,239 people or 19.0%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (3,934 people or 17.6%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 14,546 people in total or 65.1% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, City of Canning - Total population employed 25.9% in Professionals; 12.7% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 11.8% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by females in the City of Canning and City of Canning - Total population were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (19.0% compared to 12.7%)
- A larger percentage of females employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (17.6% compared to 11.8%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (5.6% compared to 13.3%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (1.9% compared to 7.1%)
