Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Parkwood in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (411 people or 13.8%)
  • Education and Training (304 people or 10.2%)
  • Retail Trade (245 people or 8.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 960 people in total or 32.2% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Canning employed 14.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.9% in Education and Training; and 9.0% in Retail Trade.
