Dominant groups

Analysis of the families with children in Canning City Centre in 2021 compared to the City of Canning shows that there was a smaller proportion of couples with young children, as well as a smaller proportion of couples with older children.

Overall, 8.5% of total households with children were couple with young children, and 4.6% were couples with older children, compared with 19.1% and 11.5% respectively for the City of Canning.

There were a smaller proportion of single parent households with young children and a smaller proportion of single parent households with older children.
