Dominant groups
Analysis of the year of arrival for the overseas born Persian/Dari speaking population of the City of Burnside in 2021 compared to Greater Adelaide shows that there was a larger proportion of people who arrived before 2010, as well as a larger proportion of recent overseas arrivals (those who arrived between 2016 and 2021).
Overall, 42.2% of the overseas born Persian/Dari speaking population arrived before 2010, and 27.6% arrived during or after 2016, compared with 39.9% and 24.0% respectively for Greater Adelaide.
The major differences between the year of arrival data of the Persian/Dari speaking population of the City of Burnside and Greater Adelaide were:
