Dominant groups
Analysis of the qualifications of the female population in Greater Hobart in 2021 compared to Western Australia shows that there was a higher proportion of females holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a lower proportion of females with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 55.6% of the female population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 36.9% had no qualifications, compared with 53.4% and 37.9% respectively for Western Australia.
The major differences between qualifications held by the female population of Greater Hobart and Western Australia were:
