Dominant groups
Analysis of the qualifications of the female population in Greater Brisbane in 2021 compared to Victoria shows that there was a higher proportion of females holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a lower proportion of females with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 56.3% of the female population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 36.4% had no qualifications, compared with 54.9% and 37.0% respectively for Victoria.
The major differences between qualifications held by the female population of Greater Brisbane and Victoria were:
- A larger percentage of females with Vocational qualifications (15.7% compared to 12.4%)
- A smaller percentage of females with Bachelor or Higher degrees (29.5% compared to 31.7%)

The largest changes in the qualifications of the female population in Greater Brisbane between 2001 and 2021 were in those with:
