Dominant groups

Analysis of the country of birth of the population in Regional TAS in 2021 compared to Northern Territory shows that there was a smaller proportion of people born overseas.

Overall, 12.6% of the population was born overseas, compared with 21.8% for Northern Territory.

The major differences between the countries of birth of the population in Regional TAS and Northern Territory were:
