Analysis of the qualifications of the population in Hope Vale Aboriginal (S) in 2021 compared to FNQROC region shows that there was a lower proportion of people holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a higher proportion of people with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 36.2% of the population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 50.5% had no qualifications, compared with 48.7% and 38.6% respectively for FNQROC region.
The major differences between qualifications held by the population of Hope Vale Aboriginal (S) and FNQROC region were:
- A larger percentage of persons with No qualifications (50.5% compared to 38.6%)
- A larger percentage of persons with Vocational qualifications (27.0% compared to 23.7%)
- A smaller percentage of persons with Bachelor or Higher degrees (5.5% compared to 16.1%)
- A smaller percentage of persons with Advanced Diploma or Diplomas (3.6% compared to 8.8%)
