Analysis of individual income levels in Douglas (S) in 2021 compared to FNQROC region shows that there was a lower proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) as well as a lower proportion of low income people (those earning less than $500 per week).
Overall, 5.8% of the population earned a high income, and 29.0% earned a low income, compared with 7.7% and 31.5% respectively for FNQROC region.
The major differences between Douglas (S)'s individual incomes and FNQROC region's individual incomes were:
- A larger percentage of persons who earned $800 - $999 (11.0% compared to 9.1%)
- A larger percentage of persons who earned $650 - $799 (9.4% compared to 7.8%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who earned Negative Income/ Nil income (5.3% compared to 7.0%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who earned $2,000 - $2,999 (3.7% compared to 5.3%)
