Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Wollondilly Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Construction (3,739 males or 26.9%)
- Manufacturing (1,461 males or 10.5%)
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing (1,182 males or 8.5%)
In combination, these three industries employed 6,382 males in total or 45.9% of the total employed male resident population.
In comparison, Buxton - Couridjah employed 26.7% in Construction; 13.8% in Manufacturing; and 9.9% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Wollondilly Shire and Buxton - Couridjah were:
