In 2021, there were more females working as professionals in the City of Whittlesea than any other occupation.

Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Whittlesea in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (11,410 people or 22.7%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (10,838 people or 21.6%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (9,811 people or 19.6%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 32,059 people in total or 63.9% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, City of Whittlesea - Total population employed 18.7% in Professionals; 13.9% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 12.5% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by females in the City of Whittlesea and City of Whittlesea - Total population were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (21.6% compared to 13.9%)
